Watch the video to find out about my simple hack

Dear Data-Traveller, please note that this is a Linkedin-Remix.

I posted this content about transferring a dashboard into a data product already on Linkedin in August 2022, but I want to make sure it doesn’t get lost in the social network abyss.

For your accessibility-experience and also for our own content backup, we repost the original text here.

Have a look, leave a like if you like it, and join the conversation in the comments if this sparks a thought!

How to transfer a simple dashboard into a data product?

Simple Hack –

Treat it like a product and follow up with your internal “clients” in cycles of 4, 12, or 30 weeks.

Ask them:
– if the dashboard helped them to solve their questions
– what kind of follow-ups they have
– what is working well
– what is not working well
– what would they do different

Your motivation is to learn what you can do better the next time and how to improve your deliverable.

And most important – after these follow-ups – deliver a 1.1, a 1.2, a 1.3.

Treating your results in data in versions is already step 1 towards a data product.
